Specification includes the Saab 2.8 litre 250 bhp V6 turbo petrol engine, Automatic "Sentronic" gearbox, ABS, 17 inch Wheels and the Aero body styling, Climate Control, Cruise Control, drivers and front seat passengers front and side Airbags, electric front seats with a memory function on the drivers, electric hood, electrically folding door mirrors, headlamp washers, rain sensing wipers and auto-dipping rear view mirror, the Saab Audio ES2 Audio system with CD multi-player, the Saab Roll Over Protection system, Electronic Stability Program, Rear Park Assist the Saab remote control central locking and alarm system and Xenon lighting.

This car is finished in one of my preferred colour combination for the 9-3 convertible, Fusion Blue metallic is a very pleasant metallic blue, with the hood up this is complimented really well by the special order Blue hood covering, with the hood down it provides a strong contrast against the extremely attractive Parchment Leather interior. Cars fitted with the parchment leather interior are much brighter and fresher inside than those with the more usual Slate Grey interior, this is partly because cars that have the Parchment interior have a lighter coloured finish to the hoods interior lining as well as the lighter upholstery.

This car has a very nice level of extra cost specification, the electric seats, the rain sensing wipers, the CD multiplayer, the electrically folding door mirrors (very useful) the Rear Park Assist (even more useful) and the auto-dipping mirror were all extra cost factory order items and are well worth having as they all add to cars smooth and easy drive, The superb V6 engine has a lovely purr, stroke the throttle and the car can be driven in a very relaxed way, give it a bit more right foot and that purr turns into a very nice muted growl while the acceleration increases dramatically!

For those of you who prefer to have more input into the way the car drives, this model is fitted with the Sentronic automatic gearbox, this allows you to change gears in a manual clutch less mode using two paddles on the steering wheel, one for up shifts and one for downshifts, when the paddle shift mode is selected, the normal auto gear selector can also be used for this purpose, a small movement forwards for up shifts and the same backwards for downshifts, personally I prefer to leave the car in its normal fully automatic mode and let the transmission do the rest.

Concept Saab the franchised Saab dealer for Cardiff originally supplied this car and Concept Saab have also serviced and maintained the vehicle, servicing in November 2007 at 10,188 miles and again on the 6th of February this year at 21,366 miles, the Saab recommended service interval for this model year 9-3 V6 turbo is for servicing at either two year or 18,000 mile intervals which ever should come first. This is an attractive and very low mileage car (average of less than 6,000 miles a year) that really looks and drives as you would expect, if you want a convertible that has looks, seats four adults in comfort and has more than enough performance, this one is well worth considering.
