Specification includes the Saab 1.9 TTiD twin turbo four cylinder diesel engine that develops 180 bhp and 400nm of torque, a 6 six speed automatic transmission with Sentronic paddle shift, 18 inch Alloy Wheels, ABS, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Driver and front seat passengers front and side Airbags with side "curtain" type airbags, 60/40 split fold down rear seats, Electronic Stability Program, heated front seats, The Saab business pack satellite navigation and audio system with Blue Tooth mobile phone facility, CD player and IPod and MP3 auxiliary input, Saab Information Display, Rear Parking Sensors, Xenon lighting, Remote Central Locking with immobiliser and alarm.

The 9-3 Aero TTiD Sport wagon is superb car to drive, quick, comfortable, economical and lots of space, the smooth six speed automatic gearbox works very well with the instant torque and acceleration produced by the cars twin turbo chargers, there is a small turbo charger that comes in very smoothly from tick over and works on its own up until around 1,500 rpm, then the larger turbo adds its boost and from around 3000 rpm the larger turbo works on its own, this car is a very nice mixture of good looks, practicality and performance!

The automatic transmission can either be used in its standard fully automatic mode, or ratio's can be changed manually in the Sentronic semi automatic clutch-less manual mode by either the paddles mounted on the steering wheel, the right one for up shifts and the left one for down shifts, or the conventional floor mounted drive selector can be used to change ratio by making a small movement forwards to change up or a small movement backwards to change down. Normally I don't like the bother of using the Sentronic mode on Saabs fitted with this type of transmission, but I must admit that in this car it is quite fun, for when combined with the twin turbo's very good throttle response it can make for some very rapid overtaking! The car also has a Sport mode for the normal automatic transmission.

This particular car is fitted with Saabs touch screen Satellite Navigation and Audio pack that together with its Blue tooth mobile phone facility would have added around £2,400 to the cars list price when new! Originally supplied when new by Oxford Saab, this vehicle has had two franchised Saab dealer services, the first performed by Lookers Saab at 14,918 miles in July 2009 (18k intermediate) and the second performed by Newbury Saab in June of this year at 23,503 miles, the recommend Saab service interval for this model and year 9-3 call for servicing at either one year or 18,000 mile intervals which ever should come first, on this basis the cars next service should become due either in July 2011 or at around 41,500 miles which ever should come first, however on occasions the cars service indicator may show that a service is required before either of these intervals have passed.

Still covered by the Saab manufacturers warranty until the 8th of December 2011 or on the car reaching 60,000 miles, which ever should come first. With a CO2 emissions of 182 G/KM this cars annual VED charge (road tax) is £200, a six month disc will cost £110.
